Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Background info
The Fulbright U.S.student program provides an unparalleled opportunity to teach, study and conduct research in over 150 countries worldwide.
As envisioned by Senator Fulbright, the program is designed to:
- promote mutual understanding through a commitment to the free flow of ideas and people across national boundaries.
- expand, through this understanding, the boundaries of human wisdom, empathy and perception.
- create true and lasting world peace through cooperation in constructive activities among people of different nations.
- Current juniors (graduating 2027), seniors, recent graduates, current graduate students, or alumni
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- English Teaching Assistantships (ETA): recipients assist in the teaching of English and a complementary project.
- Study/Research Grants (including artistic/creative inquiry): students may 1) conduct research in an academic or institutional setting 2) pursue study with a complementary project. Recipients will need a host country affiliation with the institution or organization.
- Candidates need to develop a statement of grant purpose and personal statement
- Study/Research candidates must secure an in-country affiliation.
- Grants will fund project and living expenses for an 8-12 month period.
- Students apply to a specific country for a specific proposal. You may only apply to one country only.
